About Saloma Acres

Saloma Acres aspires to be a place that inspires folks to seek refuge and community (maybe even themselves) in a safe outdoor environment.
Founded by DéLana R.A. Dameron with her husband in Fall 2021, Saloma Acres is not just a horse farm, though—by nature—horses take up a good percentage of the 22.5 acre property.
We host regular outdoor movies hosted by Luminal Theater, featuring Black independent and cult-favorite movies. During our season (April—November) we open our gates to the public to explore, get outside, meet our horsey herd, and experience cultural offerings during our OPEN ACRES days.
On property are wild and plated fruiting trees, vines, every kind of oak imaginable, a half-mile walking track and 1/3 mile forested trail. If you sit still at any of the picnic tables sprinkled throughout the property, it’s a birder’s paradise.
We’re only at the beginning of our journey! This project is an invitation to help us dream and bring people together.
